SMART wages, training and apprenticeships

SMART's sheet metal division covers duct fabrication and installation, architectural sheet metal, HVAC systems, service, and testing, adjusting and balancing. Local unions run their own training centers and negotiate the agreements that set wages and dispatch inside each jurisdiction.

SMART trade pathways

Typically four- to five-year. The local SMART/SMACNA joint apprenticeship training committee. Application windows and entry requirements are set locally. HVAC resources cover both UA and SMART; confirm the craft and agreement with the hall.
