Job Title: Assistant Project Manager – Mechanical Major Construction
Location: Phoenix, AZ

Overview
We seek a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support our mechanical construction projects in the Phoenix area. This role is perfect for someone passionate about large-scale mechanical systems and eager to gain hands-on experience in project management. You'll work closely with senior project managers, field teams, and clients to ensure the successful execution of major mechanical construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing mechanical construction projects from pre-construction to completion, ensuring schedules and budgets are met.
  • Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Track and manage project schedules, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Support the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery to job sites.
  • Work closely with field teams to resolve issues and maintain job site safety and quality.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and progress updates.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical construction, HVAC, or plumbing projects.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, piping, and HVAC installation.
  • Proficiency in project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of construction documents, contracts, and safety regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience with large-scale commercial or industrial mechanical projects.
  • Familiarity with BIM coordination and CAD software.
  • OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
