Job Title: Assistant Project Manager – Mechanical Major Construction

Overview
We seek a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support our mechanical construction projects in the Phoenix area. This role is perfect for someone passionate about large-scale mechanical systems and eager to gain hands-on experience in project management. You'll work closely with senior project managers, field teams, and clients to ensure the successful execution of major mechanical construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in managing mechanical construction projects from pre-construction to completion, ensuring schedules and budgets are met.
Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to maintain workflow efficiency.
Track and manage project schedules, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
Support the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery to job sites.
Work closely with field teams to resolve issues and maintain job site safety and quality.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and progress updates.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of experience in mechanical construction, HVAC, or plumbing projects.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, piping, and HVAC installation.
Proficiency in project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.).
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of construction documents, contracts, and safety regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with large-scale commercial or industrial mechanical projects.
Familiarity with BIM coordination and CAD software.
OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
