Free reference library gives journalists, researchers and tradespeople verified pay scales, hall contacts and union background in one place.
For immediate release — October 5, 2026
Gulfstream Strategic Placements, a recruiting firm serving the commercial mechanical construction industry, today announced the launch of its union resource library at gulfstreamsp.com — a free, sourced reference covering pay scales, hall contacts, member benefits and union history for United Association (UA), International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and SMART locals across North America.
The library brings together information that was previously scattered across hundreds of local hall websites, government wage determinations and union publications. Every pay figure is tied to a cited source — a hall's own published rate sheet or an active U.S. Department of Labor Davis-Bacon determination — and is labeled so readers can tell a locally negotiated rate from a federal prevailing wage.
Visitors can browse pay scales by local, trade and state; compare union rates against prevailing wages by area; look up hall phone numbers and addresses in a searchable member directory; read sourced summaries of each union's mission, history and member benefits; and follow official union news and hall announcements. A downloadable press kit summarizes the three international unions for journalists and researchers.
Each rate page names its source and effective date. Where no qualifying published source exists for a local, the site says so rather than estimating. Gulfstream does not publish salary figures for its recruiting clients, and the library names no client companies.
Gulfstream Strategic Placements is a private recruiting firm. The resource library is an independent reference and is not affiliated with, authorized by or speaking for the UA, IBEW, SMART or any local union. Benefits, dues, eligibility and referral procedures vary by local agreement; readers should confirm current details directly with the appropriate hall.
Gulfstream Strategic Placements is a search firm serving the commercial mechanical construction industry — HVAC, plumbing, piping, sheet metal and building controls — connecting experienced tradespeople and leaders with contractors nationwide.
Journalists and researchers can reach Gulfstream at hello@gulfstreamsp.com. The press kit, including a downloadable PDF, is available at gulfstreamsp.com/unions/press-kit.
