Job Overview
We seek a highly skilled Senior Alerton Systems Engineer to join a dynamic team in Phoenix, AZ. In this pivotal role, you'll lead the development, programming, and commissioning of advanced Alerton building automation systems (BAS). This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong leadership abilities, a passion for optimizing HVAC controls, and a deep understanding of system integration and energy efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, program, and commission complex Alerton BAS, ensuring seamless integration with HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, and third-party control networks.
Manage the controls programming process from project inception through completion, providing technical leadership, mentorship, and support to junior engineers, programmers, and field technicians.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and fine-tune BAS for optimal performance, focusing on energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and long-term reliability.
Work closely with project managers, mechanical engineers, and clients to understand project requirements, deliver technical solutions, and provide onsite and remote support during project execution.
Prepare comprehensive system documentation, including sequence of operations, point-to-point testing protocols, as-built drawings, and compliance reports aligned with industry standards and best practices.
Qualifications
Proven track record in programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting Alerton building automation systems with a strong understanding of BACnet protocols.
In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical controls, and integration with building automation platforms. Experience with other BAS platforms (e.g., Tridium Niagara, Johnson Controls Metasys, Distech, ALC) is highly desirable.
Proficient in Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Project. Familiarity with tools like Trimble AutoBid, Revit, and Navisworks is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and mentor junior staff effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preference for candidates with a stable work history in the Phoenix area, reflecting long-term commitment and reliability.
