Job Title: Commercial HVAC and Plumbing Project Manager

Location: San Diego, CA

About the Position: We are seeking a qualified, experienced, and passionate Commercial HVAC and Plumbing Project Manager to join our dedicated team in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will be a local professional with a stable work history and a minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC and plumbing project management. Knowledge of Bluebeam and Excel is essential. We prefer applicants with a degree in Construction Management or Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) and advanced experience with On-Screen Takeoff (OST) Project Management and Bluebeam software.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and manage commercial HVAC and plumbing projects from initiation to completion.
  2. Develop detailed project plans, including budgets, timelines, and resources.
  3. Effectively communicate project expectations and progress to team members and stakeholders.
  4. Review and interpret project-related documents, such as blueprints and specifications, using Bluebeam software.
  5. Use advanced On-Screen Takeoff (OST) Project Management and Bluebeam software to improve project efficiency and accuracy.
  6. Coordinate and oversee contractors and subcontractors, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to deadlines and specifications.
  7. Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  8. Ensure compliance with local and federal regulations, safety protocols, and company standards.
  9. Solve project-related issues promptly and effectively.
  10. Document and report project status, challenges, and accomplishments to upper management.

Qualifications:

  1. Must be based in San Diego, CA or willing to relocate.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of commercial HVAC and plumbing project management experience.
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Bluebeam software.
  4. Experience with On-Screen Takeoff (OST) Project Management software is a plus.
  5. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering (BSME) is preferred.
  6. Solid track record of successful project completions.
  7. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  8. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership abilities.
  9. Must have a valid driver's license.
