Job Description:

We seek a dedicated and experienced Commercial Plumbing/HVAC Preconstruction Engineer to join our Preconstruction Team. The ideal candidate must be local to Orange County, possess a stable work history, and have extensive experience in estimating, sales, preconstruction, design, and engineering in commercial mechanical projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with sales and design teams to develop accurate project estimates.
  • Perform engineering calculations and system layouts for plumbing and HVAC systems.
  • Engage in the early stages of projects to assess feasibility and propose cost-effective solutions.
  • Provide technical support and guidance during the sales and preconstruction phase.
  • Review and analyze mechanical plans and specifications.
  • Interface with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are achieved.
  • Maintain awareness of current industry standards, technologies, and trends.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (BSME).
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in commercial mechanical projects.
  • Specialized experience in labs, data centers, and large commercial projects is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in using estimating and CAD software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Must be local to Orange County, CA.
