We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Plumbing/HVAC Preconstruction Sales Engineer to join our team in San Diego. This role is perfect for someone who combines strong technical skills with a passion for sales and preconstruction project planning.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with the sales and preconstruction teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
Develop comprehensive project estimates and deliver sales presentations to potential clients.
Apply value engineering principles to optimize project outcomes while minimizing costs.
Manage sales in various project domains including commercial buildings, public works, hospitals, schools, labs, high rises, and hotels.
Utilize technical software including AutoCAD, Revit, Trimble AutoBid, and Bluebeam for design and estimation purposes.
Collaborate with project management and design teams to ensure customer needs and project requirements are met.
Maintain strong client relationships, leading to repeat business and positive referrals.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitors to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) is required.
EIT or PE license is preferred.
Strong background in commercial plumbing and HVAC estimating and sales.
Experience in value engineering and preconstruction project planning.
Previous work on large projects in various domains including commercial buildings, public works, hospitals, schools, labs, high rises, and hotels.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Trimble AutoBid, and Bluebeam.
Stable work history, demonstrating reliability and commitment.
Local candidates or those willing to relocate to San Diego, CA.
