Responsibilities:
- Accurately fabricate and install mechanical piping systems, selecting appropriate fittings, valves, and accessories for a seamless setup.
- Adhere to all applicable codes and standards, employing advanced tools and methodologies to ensure quality and compliance.
- Execute technical tasks grounded in mechanical principles, including the initiation and operational procedures of systems.
- Uphold rigorous safety protocols, contributing to the maintenance of a secure and efficient work environment.
Requirements:
- A minimum of four years’ experience as a mechanical pipefitter, ideally within commercial, industrial, or facilities operations.
- Successful completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or equivalent in mechanical pipefitting.
- Proven expertise in the installation of mechanical piping and equipment, such as chillers and boilers, with a particular focus on underground systems.
- Demonstrated stable work history, highlighting dedication to craftsmanship and quality.
Preferred:
- Prior experience with government or military construction projects.
- Valid welding certifications and a pipefitter license or journeyman card.
- Essential safety certifications, including CPR, First Aid, OSHA 30-hour, complemented by specialized training in areas like trenching and shoring, fall protection, and confined space entry.
