Job Title: Controls Project Manager
Location: Manassas, VA

Position Summary
The Controls Project Manager will oversee and manage building automation and control system projects from inception to completion. This role requires a technically proficient individual with hands-on experience in control systems, including BACnet and DDC. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with engineering teams and clients to ensure successful project delivery and meet all required specifications, timelines, and budgetary constraints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all phases of control projects, including planning, scheduling, execution, and completion.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, vendors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of control systems.
  • Prepare project documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and timelines to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for project updates and issues.
  • Lead project meetings, providing clear communication and direction to team members.
  • Utilize AutoCAD, Visio, and other relevant software to design and review control system layouts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in controls or building automation systems.
  • Strong understanding of BACnet, DDC controls, and associated systems.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Visio for control system design and documentation.
  • Familiarity with control systems like Tritium, Niagara, ALC, Allerton, Johnson Controls, Metasys, and Schneider Electric systems.
  • Stable work history with a proven track record of managing and delivering successful projects.
  • An EIT or PE license is a plus but not required.
