Responsibilities:
Direct and inspire a team of HVAC controls technicians, cultivating an environment that values excellence, innovation, and continuous professional growth.
Perform regular performance assessments, providing targeted feedback and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
Strategically manage the scheduling, planning, and execution of service operations to maximize productivity and maintain the highest quality of work.
Actively participate in troubleshooting and servicing HVAC control systems, applying advanced knowledge to solve complex technical issues.
Spearhead recruitment and talent retention initiatives to build a skilled, reliable, and motivated technical workforce.
Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, safety protocols, and company policies through diligent oversight of team activities.
Requirements:
Significant leadership experience in overseeing technical teams, with a strong preference for individuals with a background in HVAC or building automation sectors.
In-depth understanding of HVAC DDC Control Theory and its practical applications in the field.
Demonstrated organizational, time management, and troubleshooting skills, capable of effectively juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in utilizing computer hardware and software relevant to HVAC controls and building automation systems.
Adaptability to work both in office settings and on-site, with the ability to address challenges in various project environments.
Technical training and certifications in HVAC control systems, with an engineering degree highly regarded.
At least 3 years of direct experience working with commercial HVAC controls systems.
Preferred:
Specific training and certification in popular control systems platforms, such as Tridium Niagara N4, Alerton, and Delta Controls.
