Job Title: Commercial Refrigeration Technician

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah

Overview: We are actively seeking a proficient Commercial Refrigeration Technician to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah. This vital role focuses on performing maintenance, diagnosis, and repair tasks on various refrigeration systems and temperature-controlled units predominantly utilized in the food retail sector. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise in managing complex refrigeration, heating, and air-conditioning systems, ensuring they operate at peak efficiency and reliability.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine and preventative maintenance on a broad spectrum of refrigeration systems and self-contained temperature units.

  • Diagnose and remedy issues within refrigeration racks or single-unit systems, including conducting leak repairs, replacing components, and overseeing system installations with guidance.

  • Fabricate and install necessary supports and piping, conforming to all industry standards.

  • Employ diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately perform repairs and maintenance tasks.

  • Organize and document service tickets and project details professionally, maintaining clear and prompt communication.

  • Keep a well-maintained and stocked service vehicle, following all maintenance schedules and safety guidelines.

  • Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships through superior service and effective technical communication.


Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • At least 5 years of field experience or 3 years with a Technical School Certification in HVAC-R.

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems.

  • Familiarity with electrical schematics and a basic understanding of electrical principles.

  • Competence in safely handling refrigerants and other hazardous materials.


Preferred:

  • HVAC-R Technical School Degree.

  • Experience with specific brands and models of refrigeration equipment.
