Job Title: Chiller Mechanic/HVAC Service Technician

Position Overview:

Our established HVAC services company is seeking an experienced Chiller Mechanic/HVAC Service Technician to enhance our team in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in servicing and repairing commercial HVAC systems, with a particular focus on chillers, large rooftop units (RTUs), boilers, and VRF systems. This role demands a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience, with a strong preference for individuals who have received manufacturer training and certifications from leading brands such as Johnson Controls, Trane, Carrier, York, Daikin, and Mitsubishi.

Responsibilities:
  • Specialize in diagnosing, servicing, and repairing various commercial HVAC equipment, with a strong emphasis on chiller systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure their efficiency, reliability, and longevity.
  • Provide detailed technical explanations and recommendations to clients regarding system issues and repairs.
  • Leverage manufacturer training and certifications to employ the latest techniques and standards in HVAC service and repair.
  • Document all service activities meticulously, including work performed, parts used, and maintenance recommendations.
  • Coordinate with the service dispatch team to manage service call schedules effectively.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and standards during service calls.
  • Offer mentorship and technical guidance to junior technicians in the team.

Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Chiller Mechanic/HVAC Service Technician in a commercial setting.
  • EPA Universal certification required.
  • Valid driving record and the ability to travel to various sites within the Phoenix area.
  • Proficient in servicing and repairing chillers, large RTUs, boilers, and VRF systems.
  • Manufacturer training and certifications from industry leaders such as Johnson Controls, Trane, Carrier, York, Daikin, Mitsubishi, etc., are highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, capable of addressing complex HVAC system issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
