Job Title: Assistant Project Manager
Location: Honolulu, HI

Summary

We seek a motivated and experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our team in Honolulu, HI. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in project management within the commercial and military construction sectors. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Senior Project Manager in managing all phases of construction projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.

  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and clients to meet project specifications and deadlines.

  • Prepare and manage project documentation, including contracts, schedules, and reports.

  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, ensure compliance with safety regulations and address any issues that arise.

  • Support the development and implementation of project plans and schedules.

  • Assist in budget preparation and cost management throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and industry regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in commercial and military construction projects.

  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and regulations.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Local candidates with knowledge of the Honolulu area and local regulations.

  • Experience working with medium to large commercial mechanical contractors.

  • Prior experience on projects involving military bases, hospitals, schools, and high-rise buildings.

  • Stable work history with demonstrated project successes.
