Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior PLC Mechanic to join our team in Orange, CA. This position focuses on the design, implementation, and maintenance of PLC control systems specifically for commercial buildings. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with PLCs, drives, motion control systems, HMIs, and safety systems, with a strong background in commercial building applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and program PLC control systems tailored for commercial building applications, including HVAC, lighting, and security systems.
  • Perform comprehensive testing and troubleshooting of PLC systems to ensure optimal operation and adherence to project specifications.
  • Manage the installation and commissioning of PLC systems, overseeing their integration into commercial buildings' infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with project teams, including electrical and mechanical engineers, to ensure the seamless execution of projects.
  • Conduct safety and functionality tests on PLC systems, ensuring they meet all regulatory standards and operational requirements.
  • Provide technical support and training to maintenance staff and clients on the operation and troubleshooting of installed PLC systems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all design plans, installation procedures, and testing protocols.
  • Represent the company in project meetings with clients, effectively communicating technical information and project progress.

Qualifications:
  • Proven track record with at least 5 years of experience in programming and managing PLC systems in commercial building settings.
  • Proficient in using programming software and tools specific to PLCs, with a strong understanding of HVAC, lighting, and security system integration.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to building automation systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of leading project teams and interfacing with clients.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a related field.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Orange, CA.
