Job Title: Senior Mechanical Preconstruction Engineer

Job Summary
We seek an experienced Senior Mechanical Preconstruction Engineer to lead mechanical preconstruction efforts for large-scale projects in Los Angeles, including plumbing, piping, and HVAC systems. This role requires mechanical engineering, design, and project management expertise within the mechanical contracting industry.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage preconstruction activities for mechanical systems (plumbing, piping, HVAC).
Collaborate with project teams to develop and refine mechanical designs and strategies.
Analyze systems for compliance with specifications, codes, and industry standards.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Develop budgets, schedules, and cost estimates for mechanical systems.
Conduct site visits for design verification and project readiness.
Foster relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and updates.
Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and other tools for system design and optimization.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (required).
EIT or PE license (preferred).
8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, design, or preconstruction.
Extensive experience in large-scale plumbing, piping, and HVAC projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and related software.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Local candidates are preferred.
