Job Description: As a Senior Building Automation Controls Technician, you will play a pivotal role in the upkeep, programming, and optimization of building automation systems (BAS) for vital commercial infrastructure in the healthcare and education sectors. Your expertise ensures that these systems perform flawlessly, enhancing facility operations and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventative maintenance and urgent repairs on BAS to guarantee system reliability.
- Expertly program and fine-tune BAS platforms, with a focus on Tridium, Distech, and Niagara 4.
- Lead integration projects, ensuring effective collaboration with engineering teams for optimal system performance.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting to address and resolve system issues promptly.
- Support the installation of BAS components as necessary, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
- Uphold strict adherence to safety and building regulations at all times.
- Foster and maintain client relationships to deliver superior service and support.
- Accurately document all service, maintenance, and installation activities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in BAS servicing, demonstrating a local and stable work history.
- Advanced proficiency in Tridium, Distech, and Niagara 4 systems.
- Proven capability in the programming, integration, and, ideally, installation of BAS systems.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems in commercial environments, particularly in healthcare and educational facilities.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex issues independently.
- Strong communication skills, able to convey technical concepts effectively.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and readiness to travel locally as needed.
