We are seeking a skilled PLC Service Technician to join our team in Omaha, NE. This role is essential for maintaining and troubleshooting PLC control systems within commercial buildings. The ideal candidate will have robust experience with PLCs, drives, motion control systems, HMIs, and safety systems, specifically tailored to commercial applications such as HVAC, lighting, and security systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of PLC control systems to ensure optimal functionality and performance.
  • Implement necessary adjustments and configurations on PLC systems to meet commercial building requirements.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new PLC systems as part of broader building automation projects.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams, including electrical and mechanical engineers, to deliver timely and effective service solutions.
  • Provide on-site technical support and training to clients and building staff on system operation and basic troubleshooting.
  • Maintain detailed records of service interventions, modifications, and updates to PLC systems.
  • Ensure all work complies with industry safety standards and local regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience servicing and troubleshooting PLC systems in commercial environments.
  • Proficient in using programming software and diagnostic tools related to PLC control systems.
  • Strong understanding of commercial building systems integration, including HVAC, lighting, and security systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on complex service tasks.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and providing clear technical instructions.
  • Technical certification or associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Must be local to Omaha, NE or willing to relocate.
