We are seeking a highly skilled MEP Project Manager for our operations in New York City. The ideal candidate will oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of specific short-term projects with a beginning, an end, and specified deliverables, focusing on Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems in large commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and implement MEP projects, including defining scope, goals, and deliverables.
Develop full-scale project plans involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
Ensure resource availability and allocation.
Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and cost using appropriate verification techniques.
Measure project performance using the right tools and methods.
Report and escalate to management as needed.
Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Qualifications:
Must be local to New York City with a stable work history.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in MEP-related fields, particularly HVAC, electrical, and/or plumbing.
Demonstrated experience in project management of large commercial projects.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Prolog) and estimating software (e.g., Trimble AutoBid, Bluebeam).
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
