Position Overview
An excellent opportunity is available for a skilled Lead HVAC Technician - Service & Projects in Riverside, CA. This role is designed for an experienced professional with extensive knowledge of commercial mechanical systems who excels in both hands-on technical work and leading service and project operations. The position requires advanced diagnostic and repair expertise in HVAC systems and the ability to manage projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will combine technical proficiency, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to delivering superior customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, pumps, air handling units (AHUs), and refrigerant systems.
- Lead and coordinate service and project operations from planning through execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Maintain professional and solution-oriented communication to address service concerns and ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with dispatch, service teams, and project staff to optimize scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow for efficient project delivery.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to service technicians on system installations, start-ups, troubleshooting, and performance testing while fostering a safety-conscious and team-oriented environment.
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on HVAC field experience in the commercial mechanical construction industry.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing service teams and overseeing complex commercial HVAC projects.
- Expertise in commercial HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, AHUs, VAV systems, and associated plumbing and piping systems.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Proven local and stable work history within the HVAC industry.
