In this role, you will oversee payroll compliance, ensuring accurate processing of union payroll while maintaining compliance with collective bargaining agreements and labor laws. Responsibilities
Oversee and ensure compliance with union payroll processing, labor laws, and collective bargaining agreements.
Work closely with payroll, HR, and finance teams to maintain accurate wage and benefit calculations for union employees.
Monitor and enforce compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws, including prevailing wage requirements.
Serve as the main point of contact for union representatives, handling grievances and payroll-related disputes.
Assist with audits, reports, and documentation to ensure compliance with payroll regulations and union agreements.
Develop and implement best practices for payroll processing, recordkeeping, and HR compliance policies.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in HR, payroll compliance, or labor relations, preferably in a unionized environment.
Strong knowledge of union payroll processing, collective bargaining agreements, and prevailing wage laws.
Experience with multi-state payroll, tax laws, and labor regulations.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in payroll calculations.
Strong communication skills and ability to interact with union representatives and employees professionally.
Proficiency in payroll software and HRIS systems (ADP, Paycom, or similar).
Nice-to-Haves
Experience in the HVAC, construction, or manufacturing industries.
HR or payroll certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, CPP) is a plus.
Knowledge of certified payroll reporting and union trust fund contributions.
