Job Title: Energy Efficiency Engineer
Overview:
This role focuses on enhancing the energy efficiency and performance of buildings through innovative engineering solutions. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of analytical prowess, technical expertise, and a passion for sustainable building practices to tackle various energy and performance projects.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize control sequences for high-performance buildings.
- Conduct field commissioning and monitoring-based commissioning.
- Analyze building and utility data to identify energy-saving opportunities.
- Perform energy assessments, audits, and EnergyStar certifications.
- Support energy project development with measurement and verification activities.
- Deploy and analyze fault detection software.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- Experience with ASHRAE energy calculations and building mechanical systems.
- Proficient in computer programming and data visualization tools.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
Preferred:
- Certifications such as CEM or PE, or the ability to obtain.
- Knowledge of DDC Control theory, energy management practices, and renewable energy systems.
