Job Title: Vice President of Mechanical Preconstruction
Location: Honolulu, HI

Job Summary
We seek an accomplished Vice President of Mechanical Preconstruction to lead and elevate preconstruction operations within the commercial mechanical construction sector. This executive role demands extensive mechanical systems design, engineering, estimating, and client engagement expertise. The ideal candidate will bring strategic leadership to preconstruction efforts while leveraging industry-standard software such as Revit, Trimble, and AutoBid to drive project success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and optimize preconstruction operations, developing innovative strategies to enhance project delivery and profitability.
  • Lead the design and engineering process, ensuring projects meet technical, budgetary, and quality standards.
  • Oversee the development of accurate cost models and budgets from project concept to final bid submission.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, fostering trust and delivering solutions that exceed expectations.
  • Mentor and collaborate with internal teams—including project managers, engineers, and estimators—to ensure seamless project progression and cross-functional synergy.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years in a preconstruction leadership role within the mechanical construction industry.
  • Extensive experience with mechanical systems, including HVAC, chillers, boilers, plumbing, piping, and medical gas systems.
  • Advanced Revit, Trimble, and AutoBid skills, as well as familiarity with Bluebeam, MS Project, and Autodesk products (AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revit).
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire high-performing teams.
  • Preference for candidates with a local and stable work history in Honolulu or those willing to relocate.
