Job Summary
We seek a dynamic and results-driven Director of Construction with specialized HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems expertise to lead mechanical construction projects in the vibrant Honolulu, HI market. This leadership role requires a proven track record in managing large-scale commercial and industrial projects, focusing on complex mechanical systems, including laboratories and mechanical piping-intensive builds. The ideal candidate will bring deep industry knowledge, strategic vision, and the ability to drive high-performance teams to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and oversee all phases of mechanical construction projects, ensuring successful execution of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems from preconstruction through project completion.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources, aligning with project goals and maintaining compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Work closely with design teams, project managers, and stakeholders to develop and implement innovative solutions that optimize project performance.
  •  Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines and budget integrity.
  • Mentor and lead project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • EIT or PE license preferred but not required.
  • Extensive experience in mechanical construction management, with a strong focus on HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems in commercial and industrial projects.
  • Proficiency in construction management and estimation software, including Bluebeam, MS Project, Trimble AutoBid, and Autodesk platforms such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large, complex projects and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Proven record of consistent employment and successful project delivery within the mechanical construction industry.
