Position Summary:

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Controls Technician/Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in building automation controls, including installation, service, start-up, commissioning, as well as design and engineering. Proficiency in CAD and Visio is essential for creating accurate and efficient control system designs. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can contribute to our tradition of providing superior building automation solutions and ensuring that projects meet all specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and engineer control systems using CAD and Visio for various automation projects.
  • Install and service building automation controls effectively and by industry standards.
  • Perform system start-up and commissioning, ensuring optimal operation and performance.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of building automation systems.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including design drawings and specifications.
  • Provide technical support to customers and resolve issues promptly.
  • Stay abreast of the latest technology and trends in building automation systems.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a local candidate who can work in Orange County, CA.
  • Stable work history with at least 3-5 years of experience in building automation controls.
  • Proficient in CAD and Microsoft Visio for control design and engineering.
  • Familiarity with various building automation systems and protocols.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical systems, and energy management.
  • Experience with the installation, service, start-up, and commissioning of BAS.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members and clients.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • An associate's degree or certification in a related field is preferred.
