Job Description: As a Building Automation Controls Service Technician, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and programming of building automation systems (BAS) across various projects. Your role is crucial in ensuring systems are functioning optimally to provide essential services to commercial facilities in the healthcare and education sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs of building automation systems.
- Program and configure BAS systems, primarily using Tridium, Distech, and Niagara 4 platforms.
- Work on integration projects, collaborating with engineering teams to ensure seamless connectivity and functionality.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting to quickly resolve issues.
- Assist with installation of BAS components as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and building codes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, providing high-level service and support.
- Document all service and maintenance activities accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in BAS servicing, with a stable work history.
- Proficient knowledge of Tridium, Distech, and Niagara 4 systems.
- Experience in programming and integration of BAS systems; prior installation experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in commercial settings, particularly in hospitals and schools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally as required.
