In the heart of Silicon Valley, our San Jose team is expanding, and we are in search of a Controls Assistant Project Manager with a keen interest in building automation controls. With a requirement for at least 2 years of experience in the industry and a proficiency in AutoCAD, this role is pivotal for individuals eager to make a substantial impact in the commercial building automation sector. Ideal candidates will hold a bachelor's degree in engineering and demonstrate expertise in managing complex automation projects from conception to completion.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with senior project managers to oversee building automation control projects, ensuring successful delivery within agreed timelines and budgets.
Facilitate the installation, servicing, start-up, and programming of sophisticated control systems across a variety of commercial environments.
Utilize AutoCAD to create and revise technical schematics and project designs, ensuring all details accurately meet project specifications.
Actively participate in troubleshooting and resolving control system challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
Maintain comprehensive documentation, including project progress reports, to ensure all stakeholders are informed of the project status.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, effectively communicating project progress and addressing any concerns promptly.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years’ experience specializing in building automation controls, with a solid track record of successful project management.
Advanced skills in AutoCAD, with the ability to produce and modify detailed project drawings and schematics.
In-depth knowledge of the processes involved in the installation, servicing, and programming of building automation systems in commercial settings.
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is highly preferred.
Certifications in industry-standard systems such as Tridium, Niagara, or N4 are a plus.
Outstanding organizational and time management abilities, capable of juggling multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with teams and clients.
