Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our team in Orange County, CA. The ideal candidate will possess a strong local presence, a stable work history, and a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing a variety of commercial HVAC systems, including large rooftop units (RTUs) ranging from 20 to 200+ tons, chillers, boilers, VRFs, and other significant mechanical equipment. Preference will be given to candidates with manufacturer training and certifications from industry leaders such as Johnson Controls, Trane, Carrier, York, Daikin, Mitsubishi, among others.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC systems, including large RTUs (20-200+ tons), chillers, boilers, VRFs, and other sizeable mechanical equipment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient operation of HVAC systems.
- Collaborate with clients to provide technical explanations on system issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Utilize manufacturer training and certifications, with preference given to those from Johnson Controls, Trane, Carrier, York, Daikin, Mitsubishi, among others.
- Maintain accurate records of service visits, documenting work performed, parts utilized, and any additional recommendations.
- Work closely with the service dispatch team to prioritize and schedule service calls efficiently.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and industry standards during all service visits.
- Provide training and guidance to junior technicians as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a Commercial HVAC Service Technician.
- EPA Universal certification is mandatory.
- Clean driving record with the ability to travel locally within Orange County.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for various HVAC systems.
- Manufacturer training and certifications from Johnson Controls, Trane, Carrier, York, Daikin, Mitsubishi, or similar HVAC equipment manufacturers are preferred.
- Proven ability to handle and repair large RTUs, chillers, boilers, VRFs, and other substantial mechanical equipment.
