Position Overview
An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Commercial HVAC Service/Special Projects Team Lead in Orange, CA. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with extensive knowledge of commercial mechanical systems and a proven ability to lead service teams and manage specialized HVAC projects. The successful candidate will demonstrate advanced technical expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex HVAC system issues and managing projects from start to finish. This position requires a blend of leadership, hands-on problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, pumps, air handling units (AHUs), VAV, and refrigerant systems.
  • Lead and oversee service and exceptional project workflows from planning through completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Foster strong client relationships through professional, solution-driven communication, addressing service concerns and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with dispatch and service teams to streamline scheduling, resource allocation, and project execution, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Mentor and support service technicians with installations, system start-ups, troubleshooting, and performance testing while promoting a safety-first and team-oriented work environment.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on field experience in commercial mechanical construction.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing service teams and overseeing complex commercial HVAC projects.
  • In-depth understanding of commercial HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, air handling units, VAV systems, and related plumbing and piping systems.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license.
  • Proven local and stable work history within the HVAC industry.
