We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Fence Estimator to join our dynamic team in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a stable work history and a minimum of 3 years' experience in commercial fence estimating. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed estimates for fencing projects based on drawings, specifications, site visits, and other provided information.
Develop relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure competitive pricing and customer satisfaction.
Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal team members to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve any potential issues.
Prepare and present estimates and cost plans to clients or other stakeholders as needed.
Perform a comprehensive "take off" of materials and labor needed for projects.
Work with project management staff to ensure smooth transitions from estimating to project execution.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in order to maintain competitiveness and improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role, specifically with commercial fencing projects.
Solid understanding of fencing materials, installation methods, and relevant building codes and regulations.
Proven track record of producing successful estimates that lead to profitable projects.
Excellent numerical skills and an analytical mindset.
Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.
Proficiency in relevant estimating software.
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and blueprints.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Valid driver's license and the ability to travel locally for site visits.
Must reside in the Dallas, TX area.
Education:
High school diploma required. A degree in construction management, engineering, or related field is a plus.
