Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled Commercial Electrical Technician to join our team, focusing on the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems within the commercial mechanical construction industry. This position is ideal for a driven individual with a strong foundation in electrical principles and a dedication to safety and quality.
Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, ensuring that work is in accordance with relevant codes.
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an electrician in the commercial construction sector, with a local and stable work history.
Comprehensive knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to electrical systems.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Preferred:
Electrical certification or diploma from a vocational school or equivalent.
Experience with mechanical electrical systems, including HVAC and refrigeration units.
