Summary: We are on the lookout for a Chiller Systems Technician in Phoenix, specializing in the maintenance and repair of various types of chillers, including centrifugal, magnetic, water-cooled, air-cooled, and screw chillers. Ideal candidates will be local professionals with a stable work history and at least three years of experience in chiller operations, seeking a dynamic role in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of centrifugal, magnetic, water-cooled, air-cooled, and screw chillers.
Diagnose operational problems and make on-site repairs to ensure minimal downtime.
Regularly monitor the performance of chiller systems, making adjustments to optimize energy efficiency and performance.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, system performance, and repairs.
Educate clients and onsite staff on basic chiller maintenance and operation procedures.
Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental policies and regulations related to chiller systems.
Qualifications:
Minimum of three years of hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing various chiller systems.
Strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical components of chiller units.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair issues promptly.
Proven record of reliability and responsibility from previous employment, preferably in similar non-union environments.
Effective communication skills, capable of explaining technical details to non-technical audiences.
EPA Certification or other relevant HVAC certifications are highly desirable.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to participate in emergency service rotation and respond to calls outside of normal working hours as needed.
