This vital role involves executing start-up functions for mechanical systems based on project plans and specifications. You will analyze building control systems' performance, ensure accurate and complete documentation, and provide project-engineering support as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute efficient start-up and commissioning of building control systems.
- Conduct point-to-point checkouts of Direct Digital Controls (DDC) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
- Utilize building automation programs to manage trend logs, zones, alarms, reports, system backups, and user interface graphics.
- Perform field changes and directives and troubleshoot software, component, and equipment issues.
- Maintain clear and updated field documentation, including as-built drawing sets, project checkout sheets, and UL Panel Tags.
- Train peers and owner/operators on how to use building automation systems.
- Support Project Engineers with various field tasks and coordination.
- Manage time effectively to complete assignments within budget and on schedule.
- AA degree in applied technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience, including relevant military experience.
- Proven troubleshooting skills with mechanical and electrical systems.
- High level of proficiency with computer hardware and software.
- Knowledge of DDC control theory and applications.
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised, with excellent interactive skills.
- Experience with electronics, basic electrical circuits, and building mechanical systems.
- Desired: Computer programming experience.
- Local and stable work history.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain accuracy in documentation and project execution.
