Job Title: Building Automation Controls Technician
Location: San Diego, CA

Position Overview
We seek a highly skilled Building Automation Controls Technician to join our dynamic San Diego, CA team. This critical role focuses on installing, programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced building automation systems (BAS) to optimize energy efficiency, comfort, and system performance in commercial mechanical construction projects. Key Responsibilities
  • Install, program, and commission Building Automation Systems (BAS), including Tridium Niagara, Distech, Alerton, ALC, Johnson Controls Metasys, BACnet, Trane, and Schneider Electric platforms.
  • Perform system diagnostics and troubleshooting of HVAC control systems, ensuring efficient operation and timely issue resolution.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and system upgrades to maintain optimal performance of automation controls.
  • Collaborate with project managers and mechanical teams to interpret control drawings, sequence of operations, and technical specifications.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients and end-users on best practices for BAS operations and maintenance.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in installation, programming, and service-building automation systems.
  • Proficiency with Tridium Niagara, Distech, Alerton, ALC, Johnson Controls Metasys, and leading BAS platforms.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical equipment controls, and energy management strategies.
  • Experience with technical software tools such as Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Revit is a plus.
  • Local and stable work history with a strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
