Job Description:
The Building Automation Controls Service Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing building automation systems. The role demands high technical expertise in commercial HVAC systems and a strong background in building automation controls. Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and commission building automation systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and service checks on building automation controls.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with existing systems and implement effective solutions.
- Interface and communicate effectively with clients, engineers, and project managers.
- Conduct system analysis and recommend improvements for energy efficiency.
- Complete all documentation related to service work performed.
- Assist with the training of junior technicians.
- Remain up-to-date on industry best practices, equipment, and technology.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree in a technical field is a plus.
- Minimum three years of experience in building automation controls service, start-up, and commissioning.
- Must have a stable work history.
Preferred:
- Niagara N4 Certification.
- Other relevant certifications and training in commercial HVAC and building automation controls.
- Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and mechanical/electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical schematics.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software utilized in the industry.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Local candidates are highly preferred.
