Job Description:
The Building Automation Controls Service Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing building automation systems. The role demands high technical expertise in commercial HVAC systems and a strong background in building automation controls. Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and commission building automation systems.
Perform routine maintenance and service checks on building automation controls.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with existing systems and implement effective solutions.
Interface and communicate effectively with clients, engineers, and project managers.
Conduct system analysis and recommend improvements for energy efficiency.
Complete all documentation related to service work performed.
Assist with the training of junior technicians.
Remain up-to-date on industry best practices, equipment, and technology.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree in a technical field is a plus.
Minimum three years of experience in building automation controls service, start-up, and commissioning.
Must have a stable work history.
Preferred:
Niagara N4 Certification.
Other relevant certifications and training in commercial HVAC and building automation controls.
Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and mechanical/electrical systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical schematics.
Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software utilized in the industry.
Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
