Job Title: Building Automation Controls Project Manager

Job Overview
We seek an experienced and detail-oriented Building Automation Controls Project Manager to lead innovative control system projects in the commercial mechanical construction industry. This role is integral to the planning, execution, and delivery of cutting-edge building automation solutions, with a focus on integrating HVAC, energy management, and mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in BACnet and DDC controls and proficiency in project management software and design tools like AutoCAD.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, manage, and oversee all phases of building automation projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
Manage the installation and commissioning of control systems, including Tridium Niagara, Distech, ALC, Johnson Controls Metasys, and Schneider Electric. Collaborate with teams to seamlessly integrate HVAC, energy, and lighting systems.
Provide in-depth knowledge of DDC controls, BACnet protocols, and related systems. Review and develop system schematics and CAD drawings using tools such as AutoCAD and Visio.
As the primary liaison with clients, contractors, and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Track project progress, manage budgets, and ensure on-time delivery. Proactively address challenges to maintain project quality and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in building automation or controls, specifically within the commercial mechanical construction sector.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred. Certifications such as EIT, PE, or PMP are a plus.
Extensive knowledge of BACnet, DDC controls, Tridium Niagara, Distech, ALC, Johnson Controls Metasys, and Schneider Electric systems. Proficient in AutoCAD, Visio, and project scheduling tools.
Demonstrated local and stable work history, reflecting a commitment to long-term project success.
Strong organizational and leadership abilities, capable of managing multiple complex projects and leading cross-functional teams.
