The Senior Project Manager for Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Critical Facilities in Manassas, VA, is a pivotal position within the commercial mechanical construction sector. This role is integral to completing highly complex projects and overseeing sophisticated control systems' design, engineering, and implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and engineering of control systems hardware and created advanced control programming to meet detailed project plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and labor, including fiscal analyses. Ensure all project materials are ordered and coordinated effectively.
- Program complex Direct Digital Controls (DDC) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems to meet mechanical system requirements. Develop end-user graphical interfaces tailored to customer needs.
- Manage the start-up and commissioning processes for building control systems, oversee technician work plans, and ensure processes are followed.
- Maintain accurate project records, including updating drawing sets and software programs. Engineer field changes and maintains as-built documentation. Develop and conduct site-specific owner training sessions.
- Advanced understanding and skills in creating control programs, DDC Theory and Applications, and analyzing complex information and data.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Skilled in using AutoCAD, Bluebeam, MS Project, and other project-related software.
- Proven experience with building mechanical systems, electronics, and basic electrical circuits.
- Exceptional interactive and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised, demonstrating excellent troubleshooting skills.
- A proven local and stable work history in the industry.
