Job Overview

The BAS/Commissioning Project Manager is a critical role within the commercial mechanical construction sector. This role focuses on designing, engineering, and commissioning building automation systems (BAS). This position requires an expert in control systems hardware and programming capable of managing complex projects from inception to completion. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the complete design of control systems, ensuring alignment with project specifications and mechanical systems requirements.
  • Develop complex DDC (Direct Digital Controls) and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems to meet project goals. Create user-friendly graphical interfaces for end-users.
  • Oversee the start-up and commissioning processes for building control systems, managing technician work plans and processes to ensure efficient execution.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including updating drawing sets, software programs, and as-built documentation. Engineer field changes as necessary.
  • Perform essential project management tasks such as creating job plans, scheduling labor, conducting fiscal analyses, and coordinating project materials. Manage foreign protocol integration and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Qualifications
  • Advanced understanding of and skills in creating control programs. Strong knowledge of DDC Theory and Applications.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex information, data, and situations effectively.
  • Exceptional interactive and communication skills, capable of conveying technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve issues independently.
  • Skilled in the use of AutoCAD and other project-related software. Familiarity with Bluebeam, MS Project, Trimble AutoBid, and Autodesk software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
  • Engineering undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer programming experience and building mechanical systems experience are required.
  • Demonstrated history of stable and local work experience.
