Job Title: Assistant Project Manager - BAS/DDC
Location: Tacoma, WA

Job Summary
We seek a detail-oriented and technically skilled Assistant Project Manager – BAS/DDC to support the successful delivery of building automation systems (BAS) and direct digital control (DDC) projects in the dynamic commercial mechanical construction industry. Based in Tacoma, WA, this role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge systems that drive energy efficiency and occupant comfort in large-scale facilities. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on technical expertise in BAS/DDC systems, a proactive approach to project coordination, and a strong commitment to ensuring high-quality installations and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing project scope, budget, and schedule for BAS/DDC installations, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

  • Partner with senior project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure accurate system designs, installations, and commissioning.

  • Utilize software tools like AutoCAD and Revit to review and refine system designs, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure proper installation, troubleshooting, and resolution of technical issues during commissioning.

  • Monitor job site safety protocols and adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. An EIT or PE license is a plus.

  • Minimum of 3 years of project management or project coordination experience in commercial mechanical construction or building automation.

  • Proficient in BACnet and DDC technologies with experience working on systems such as Tridium Niagara, Distech, ALC, Alerton, and Johnson Controls Metasys.

  • Skilled in using AutoCAD, Revit, and other industry-standard software for design and project documentation.

  • Demonstrated a history of stable, local work experience in the Tacoma, WA region.
