Job Title: Assistant HVAC Project Manager
Location: Los Angeles, CA

Job Summary

We seek a highly motivated Assistant HVAC Project Manager to join our Los Angeles, CA team. The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with senior project managers to support the successful execution of commercial HVAC projects. This role is perfect for someone with a background in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC-related fields who is eager to develop their career in project management by assisting with project coordination, documentation, and on-site support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the HVAC Project Manager in managing all phases of commercial HVAC projects, including planning, scheduling, and execution.
  • Help coordinate project resources, including subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Assist with managing project documentation using Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project tools.
  • Track project progress, update schedules, and ensure key milestones are met.
  • Monitor material orders, track inventory, and coordinate deliveries to ensure timely project completion.
  • Attend job site meetings and ensure all work meets quality standards and safety protocols.
  • Review project submittals, RFIs, change orders, and other project-related documents.
  • Communicate project status and potential issues with the Project Manager and other stakeholders.
  • Help resolve issues that arise during construction to ensure smooth project flow.
Qualifications
  • An associate's or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering construction management or a related field is preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in HVAC or construction project support or a strong educational background in HVAC systems.
  • Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Basic understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical design, and construction processes.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Must be local to Los Angeles, CA, or able to commute or relocate reliably.
