Job Summary
We seek an experienced HVAC Facilities/Shop Supervisor to oversee and manage our shop operations in Orange, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong HVAC or sheet metal distribution background, with experience working at companies in Southern California fabrication facilities. This role requires a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of shop and facilities management, ensuring smooth daily operations, safety compliance, and adequate staff supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of the HVAC facilities and shop, ensuring efficiency and adherence to safety protocols.
- Manage inventory, tools, and equipment required for HVAC and sheet metal fabrication.
- Coordinate and oversee maintenance, repairs, and equipment installation to ensure operational readiness.
- Lead a team of technicians, providing training and guidance to ensure high performance and compliance with company standards.
- Work closely with management to plan and execute projects, meeting timelines and budgets.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment that complies with OSHA regulations and company policies.
- To optimize supply chain operations and develop and maintain relationships with vendors and distributors.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping for equipment, safety inspections, and maintenance logs.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management, shop supervision, or a related role within HVAC or sheet metal distribution industries.
- Prior experience working in commercial mechanical, or similar distributors is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience in fabrication facilities within Southern California is an advantage.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, sheet metal fabrication, and facility maintenance.
- Proven track record of maintaining safety standards and ensuring regulatory compliance.
