Job Title:  Building Automation Sales Engineer
Location: Seattle, WA

Job Summary
We seek a Building Automation Sales Engineer based in Seattle, WA, to join a leading commercial mechanical construction industry team. The ideal candidate will bring local expertise, a stable work history, and advanced sales and engineering experience in building automation or mechanical systems. In this role, you will drive sales and engineering solutions for building automation systems, working closely with clients to deliver customized solutions that enhance operational efficiency and energy management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the sales process from prospecting to closing, focusing on building automation solutions such as HVAC controls, energy management systems, and intelligent building technologies.

  • Develop strong relationships with clients, understand their needs, and recommend innovative solutions that improve their building operations and reduce energy costs.

  • Leverage your engineering background to provide technical consultation on building automation products and systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing mechanical infrastructure.

  • Work closely with project managers, contractors, and design teams to support building automation systems design, installation, and commissioning.

  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, identify new business opportunities, and expand your market presence in the Seattle area.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in sales and engineering, focusing on building automation systems (HVAC, controls, energy management) or mechanical systems.

  • Strong knowledge of building automation platforms, including Tridium Niagara, Johnson Controls Metasys, Bacnet, Schneider Electric, or similar systems.

  • A local and stable work history, with demonstrated success in a similar role within the Seattle region, is required.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of energy efficiency technologies and their application in commercial buildings.

  • Proficiency in industry-standard software tools like AutoCAD Bluebeam and project management platforms like MS Project.
