Job Summary
We seek an experienced and detail-oriented HVAC Engineer to join our Los Angeles, CA team. The ideal candidate will have a stable work history and a minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC engineering, particularly in large-scale commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, evaluate, and manage the installation of HVAC systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
- Perform comprehensive HVAC system analysis, including load calculations, energy modeling, and system optimization.
- Provide accurate cost estimates for HVAC systems and participate in value engineering efforts to enhance project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of HVAC designs with other building systems.
- Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation using industry-standard software, including schematics, specifications, and reports.
- Conduct site visits to oversee installation, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Must be a local candidate with a stable and verifiable employment history.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial HVAC engineering, focusing on large-scale projects.
- Proficiency in HVAC design software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and energy modeling software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with HVAC estimating software and knowledge of advanced HVAC technologies.
- Strong understanding of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- LEED accreditation or experience with sustainable design practices is a plus.
