Job Title: Building Automation Controls Service Technician
Location: Washington, District of Columbia

Job Summary
We seek an experienced Building Automation Controls Service Technician to join our team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with building automation controls for HVAC systems in commercial buildings, especially in environments like data centers, labs, hospitals, or facilities with central plants. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Installed, serviced, and troubleshot building automation systems (BAS) for HVAC equipment in commercial buildings.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on control systems, including chillers and large applied HVAC equipment, in environments such as data centers, labs, hospitals, and other commercial properties.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure optimal control system functionality, identifying and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of BAS technology, HVAC systems, and equipment operations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and client specifications during service activities.
  • Provide detailed reports on system performance, issues, and service activities.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience working with building automation controls for HVAC systems in commercial buildings, preferably in data centers, labs, or hospitals.
  • Strong understanding of central plant operations and applied HVAC equipment.
  • Experience working with major building automation control brands such as Siemens, Trane, or Alberio.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to BAS and HVAC systems.
  • Stable work history demonstrating reliability and consistent performance.
  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems related to HVAC controls.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with data center HVAC systems and large applied equipment is highly desirable.
  • Relevant certifications or training in building automation controls (e.g., Siemens, Trane, or other manufacturer training).
  • Familiarity with programming and configuring BAS software.
