Location: Denver, CO

Position Overview
We seek a Controls Technician skilled in building automation and HVAC control systems. This field-based role involves installation, programming, and troubleshooting to meet project specifications, emphasizing customer satisfaction, quality, and budget compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Field Installation and Troubleshooting: Install, configure, and troubleshoot controllers, sensors, and other BAS hardware components. Ensure all equipment functions optimally to meet system performance requirements.
  • BAS Programming and Customization: Develop, test, and optimize BAS programming sequences to achieve project-specific outcomes. Experience with Tridium Niagara, BACnet, and related BAS platforms is highly valued.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including submittals, as-builts, and O&M manuals, ensuring project compliance and effective record-keeping.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with sales and project management teams to coordinate project scopes, align client needs, manage timelines, and submit necessary material orders.
  • System Commissioning and Graphics Creation: Conduct functional checkouts for HVAC systems, develop system graphics based on building layouts, and support complete commissioning processes to meet project standards.
Qualifications
  • Education: A high school diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years in HVAC, Building Automation, or a related field.
    • At least 2 years of experience in DDC (Direct Digital Control) theory and programming.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency with BAS platforms (such as Tridium Niagara and BACnet) and related software (e.g., Bluebeam, Microsoft Office).
    • Basic knowledge of computer networking and system setup for BAS installations.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective coordination across project teams.
  • Local & Stable Work History: To ensure knowledge of the Denver market, a proven record of consistent, local work experience in BAS or related fields is required.
