Job Overview
We seek a highly skilled Controls Project Manager to lead complex projects in the commercial mechanical construction industry. This position is ideal for a professional with in-depth knowledge of control systems, including BACnet and DDC controls, and industry-leading building automation systems such as Tridium Niagara, Distech, Alerton, Johnson Controls Metasys, and Schneider Electric. As the Controls Project Manager, you will drive the success of control system installations, integration, and commissioning within mechanical construction projects, ensuring client satisfaction and system efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of control system projects, ensuring they meet specifications, timelines, and budgets.
  • Manage and implement control systems, including BACnet and DDC technologies, while ensuring compliance with client and regulatory standards.
  • Work closely with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate system designs using tools like AutoCAD and Visio.
  • Lead the integration and commissioning of building automation systems, with expertise in Tridium Niagara, Johnson Controls Metasys, and Schneider Electric.
  • Act as the client's primary point of contact, ensuring smooth communication and project satisfaction from inception to completion.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in control system project management, with a stable and local work history.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. An EIT or PE license is a plus.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Visio, and building automation systems such as BACnet, DDC, and Tridium Niagara.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities to manage cross-functional teams and client expectations.
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with other building automation systems such as Distech, ALC, and Alerton.
  • Experience using project management software like MS Project or Bluebeam.
  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems, HVAC, and commercial construction processes.
