Job Summary
We seek an experienced and dynamic Commercial HVAC Field Supervisor in Charleston, SC, to lead a team of skilled HVAC technicians in servicing, repairing, and commissioning sizeable commercial HVAC systems. This role requires a hands-on leader with over ten years of field experience in commercial HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, and large package units. The ideal candidate will have a solid local presence, a stable work history, and the ability to effectively manage and mentor a team while directly involved in service tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of field technicians, ensuring high standards of service and repair across commercial HVAC projects.
- Perform startup, commissioning, diagnostics, and repair of commercial HVAC systems, including package units, chillers, and boilers.
- Train, coach, and develop technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Act as a critical point of contact for customers, ensuring client satisfaction and addressing service issues promptly and professionally.
- Enforce safety protocols, maintain compliance with local and federal HVAC regulations, and ensure all work meets company and industry standards.
- 10+ years of commercial HVAC service experience, focusing on startup, commissioning, and repairing large systems (e.g., chillers, boilers, package units).
- EPA Universal Certification is required.
- Proven track record of stable work history and strong leadership in a supervisory role.
- Ability to work hands-on in the field while managing and leading a team.
- Clean driving record and local presence in the Charleston, SC, area.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with both team members and clients.
