The ideal candidate will bring expertise in building automation systems, including familiarity with critical systems like Tridium Niagara, Distech, Alerton, Johnson Controls Metasys, and Schneider Electric. This role demands strong leadership, project management skills, and a deep understanding of HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems integrated with automation technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the entire lifecycle of building automation projects, from design and planning to execution and commissioning. Ensure projects are completed on time and within scope and budget.
- Utilize advanced knowledge of building automation systems (BAS), including Tridium Niagara, BACnet, and DDC controls, to guide project execution and resolve technical issues.
- Work closely with engineering, field technicians, and clients to ensure that automation systems meet client specifications and are integrated seamlessly with mechanical systems such as HVAC, chillers, boilers, and plumbing.
- Apply technical proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks for system design, along with project management software like MS Project, to track and report on project milestones.
- Maintain high-quality control standards and ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and client requirements. Familiarity with energy-efficient and green building solutions is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in building automation project management, with a stable and local work history.
- Strong understanding of AutoCAD, Visio, BACnet, and DDC controls. Experience with BAS systems such as Tridium Niagara, Distech, ALC, Alerton, and Johnson Controls Metasys.
- Proven ability to lead large-scale automation projects and teams, ensuring successful completion within tight timelines.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of managing stakeholder expectations and solving complex system integration challenges.
- An EIT or PE license is a plus but not required.
