Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement control sequences for HVAC systems in commercial buildings using BACnet and DDC technologies.
- Lead the commissioning of building automation systems, ensuring all equipment functions are optimized and operational per design specifications.
- Diagnose and resolve issues within building automation systems, providing timely support to ensure minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
- Work closely with project managers, contractors, and other technicians to ensure seamless system integration and alignment with project objectives.
- Maintain detailed records of system configurations, programming, and service activities, ensuring all documentation complies with industry standards and project requirements.
- Minimum of three years of experience in building automation controls service, particularly with HVAC systems in commercial buildings.
- Proficiency in BACnet and DDC controls and familiarity with platforms like ALC, Allerton, Tritium Niagara, and Distech.
- Experience with Bluebeam, MS Project, AutoCAD, Revit, and related software tools for building automation and HVAC projects.
- Must be based in San Diego, CA, with a local and stable work history in the commercial mechanical construction sector.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, capable of identifying and resolving complex system issues efficiently.
- Knowledge of additional systems such as Alerton, Schneider Electric, or Trane controls.
- Experience working on both new installations and retrofit projects within commercial buildings.
- Familiarity with energy-efficient building automation strategies and intelligent building technologies.
