Job Summary
We seek a dedicated Assistant Project Manager with a strong background in commercial HVAC and plumbing projects to support the successful delivery of large-scale projects in the Phoenix area. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in managing complex builds such as hospitals, data centers, high-rises, and arenas, with a commitment to excellence in project execution. Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Senior Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing large-scale HVAC and plumbing projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards.
  • Serve as a critical point of contact for project stakeholders, including subcontractors, suppliers, and clients, to ensure clear communication and timely updates on project progress.
  • Use tools like Bluebeam, MS Project, and Autodesk (AutoCAD, Revit) to assist in project documentation, technical drawings, and scheduling updates.
  • Identify potential project risks and work with the Senior Project Manager to develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies, ensuring smooth project progression.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, inspect project quality, and collaborate with field teams to maintain safety and compliance with local regulations.
Qualifications
  • Must be a Phoenix-area resident with a stable, verifiable work history in the commercial construction industry.
  •  5+ years of experience in HVAC and plumbing projects for hospitals, data centers, airports, hotels, or similar extensive facilities.
  • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred, though significant field experience may be considered.
  • Proficient in Bluebeam, MS Project, and Autodesk software (AutoCAD, Revit); familiarity with Trimble AutoBid is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and proactively resolve project challenges.
