Job Summary
We are seeking an organized and motivated Assistant Plumbing Project Manager to support the successful execution of commercial plumbing projects in the Orange, CA area. This role will involve assisting in the planning, managing, and overseeing of various plumbing installations, tenant improvements, and special projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in commercial plumbing and a desire to further develop their project management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Plumbing Project Manager in all phases of commercial plumbing projects, from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, timelines, and budget.
- Collaborate with project teams to prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and schedules to support accurate project planning and execution.
- Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to maintain relationships and meet project requirements.
- Utilize construction management software such as Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Trimble AutoBid to track project progress, document changes, and report performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety regulations, particularly those specific to commercial plumbing installations in Orange, CA.
- 3+ years of experience in commercial plumbing, with hands-on experience in project coordination or management.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Trimble AutoBid.
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems, including tenant improvements, medical gas systems, and large-scale installations.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including estimators, supervisors, and field staff.
- A local and stable work history is required, as is a strong knowledge of the Orange, CA, area's building codes and regulations.
